Jupiter Euro:
Mach4 to Closed-Loop Machine Control

Introducing the Jupiter Euro Mach4 Closed Loop Machine Control Board from Sho Me Extractions, LLC, now available through Lightwave Precision, LLC. Designed for seamless integration with NewFangled Solutions' highly-regarded Mach4 CNC motion control software, this board offers precise closed-loop control for both servo and stepper motor systems.

Key Features:

  • High-Speed Encoder Input: A quadrature differential input (including index) for the exact position of the axis, allowing for precise control and accuracy.

  • Real-Time Error Correction: The board's onboard high-speed counters and microcontroller compare the target position from Mach4's step and direction outputs with the actual position from the axis encoder. It then outputs an error signal, either as step and direction pulses or a servo analog signal, to precisely align the axis to its intended position.

  • Advanced Control Algorithms: Utilizes a Laplace transform approach to manage position, velocity, and torque feedback loops, ensuring optimal speed and critical damping.

  • Open Source and Customizable: Both the hardware and software are open source, enabling users to modify algorithms or even hardware to meet specific requirements.

  • Versatile Communication Options: The board connects via a USB-C port, supporting remote communication with any operating system, including Linux, via simple customizable terminal commands.

  • Firmware Flexibility: Firmware can be easily updated or modified through a JTAG port using Texas Instruments' Code Composer Studio IDE.

  • Adaptable Operation Modes: Capable of operating as a standalone unit or as part of a more complex motion control system through USB connectivity, allowing control via programs written in C++, Python, or Lua on a fast advanced platform.

    • The Venus Crisp features a unique cylindrical design with nine adjustable shelves across three independently controlled chambers, totaling 27 shelves. This configuration accommodates varying material heights and ensures a consistent temperature throughout, eliminating "hot or cold spots." Materials are loaded from the top and lowered using a winch, ensuring precision and consistency in post-processing outcomes.

  2. Advanced Water Vapor Pressure Measurement
